Every now and then you go out to take photo's and come across magical spot's and this is one. After an invite to visit a private property location in the Lockyer Valley. Myself and two fellow photographers came across an abandoned Eagles nest.
Sadly with the drought so severe in many Qld areas now, the birds have relocated and made a new nest at a location much closer to a water source. As sad as that is, it made for an amazing photo opportunity for us. As the milkyway rose behind the nest we started shooting and what we all captured was amazing to witness. With extremely faint smoke haze and dust it created a really cool atmosphere and color in the sky. And to share it with mates made the night even better.
