Thank you, Robb! Unfortunately but probably to keep it from being destroyed they are restricting access to the Meadow.

Love this photo. Especially love the sharp textures in the grasses in the foreground which contrast with the dreamy yellow textures in the mist...fab

All of your photos are amazing, but I'm drawn more to ones like this that maintain the natural look of the landscape.

Location
This was taken at Tuolumne Meadows, Yosemite National Park.Time
Taken in the morning around 6 am.Lighting
There was a low hanging mist in the meadow when my granddaughter and I got up early for a sunrise shot. I was looking forward to how the mist would look when the sun came up over the mountains to the west.Equipment
My camera was a Nikon D600 with a 16-35mm Nikkor lens and I was without a tripod.Inspiration
I had been capturing some shots of the mist in the meadow when I came upon a creek with a nice reflection in it and as I realized the sun was just coming up between the trees I thought it would be a great time to capture a sunburst through the trees behind the creek.Editing
I use LE 5 and a plugin from ON1 software. In my camera bag
I usually carry two lenses. A 80-400mm Nikkor and a 16-35mm Nikkor. I carry some ND filters and a lightweight tripod.Feedback
I have found one of the best ways to capture a sunburst is through the trees and I shoot many shots trying to get the burst without the lens flare or at least get a cool looking flare. Usually an aperture of f20-22 will get the best results.
