Taken at Valley View Yosemite Valley, Yosemite National Park.

Time

Taken the morning of Nov 23, 2013.

Lighting

The Sun was just coming into the valley so it gave me just enough light to get the mirror like reflection on the very calm Merced River.

Equipment

This was a handheld shot using a Nikon D610 with a Nikon 16-35 lens.

Inspiration

This is another classic location for photography in Yosemite Valley and this is what I was looking for when I got up from my campsite and headed to this location.

Editing

This was processed using LR and a plugin from On1 Software.

In my camera bag

I usually carry 16-35 and 80-400 Nikon lenses. I also carry an assortment of ND filters and tripod.

Feedback

I try to frame my landscape shots with balance trying to bring as much interest in view. The best reflection shots are usually when the sun is to the side or behind you.
