this is the 1st time I seen this area in B&W and I have to say that I love it, normally I take photos there at sunset and night but I really love what you did here, beautiful work

Location
Taken at Pier 14 San Francisco.Time
Taken mid afternoon Mar 26, 2014.Lighting
It was a gray day just after a rain shower and there was a little sunlight peeking through the clouds above the city. I knew when I converted it to B&W I could bring out that contrasting light a little more.Equipment
For this shot I used a Nikon D610 with a 16-35 Nikon lens.Inspiration
I walked on the peer taking photos of the bay and Bay Bridge but when I turned around and saw this shot I was thinking B&W when I took it.Editing
I processed this in LR and used a plugin from On1.In my camera bag
I usually carry a Nikon D610, 16-35 and 80-400 Nikon lenses. I also carry an assortment of ND filters and tripod.Feedback
If you are taking B&W or color and thinking about converting it texture is the key. Lighting is important as well but one thing about B&W's is you can push the boundary of processing more than you can with color.
