It was at Elbe....near Eatonville....outside Mt. Ranier Park. There's a train ride and CW reenactment. This was about 3 weeks ago.

Congratulations on winning the Challenge. I really liked the feel of this photograph and the expressions on the drummer. Well done and Congratulations.

One of the attractive qualities about this photo (apart from subject, composition) is it looks like artwork as much as it resembles a photograph. You say you did processing on an iPhone? Can you help me which filter you used? Well done!

Location
I took this photo in Elba, Washington.Time
As I remember, this was in the mid-afternoon.Lighting
No special lighting. Just a nice September day.Equipment
I used a Sony Nex-6 with a 17-55mm lens. Handheld.Inspiration
We had caught a steam train in Elba, Washington, for a short journey of about 45 minutes where we would arrive to experience a Civil War Re-enactment. The re-enactors even boarded the train and threatened us! When we arrive, we departed the train and the battle was on. This group was over to the side next to a train and played on and on. They were VERY realistic looking and played well, too. I was particularly drawn to them because they weren't running around, but looked very authentic.Editing
I used only iphoto sliders in the post-processing.In my camera bag
I normally carry the Sony Nex-6 with the following lenses: 17-55mm, 50-200mm, 14mm, and fish eye. I also have some cleaning utensils, 2 extra batteries and 1 extra memory card. I used a bean bag, which is VERY heavy, as a stabilizer.Feedback
Civil War Re-enactments are wonderful opportunities for photos! I went to another one in Spokane about 6 months later. They both had extremely authentic looking characters, horses, gunfire, action, pioneer-looking women and children, tents, etc. No one pays any attention to a photographer roaming around. I can't wait for the next one!
