Location
I took this in downtown Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.Time
It was about 11 a.m.Lighting
Just a beautiful, cloudy day.Equipment
Sony Nex-6 with a 17-55mm lens. Handheld.Inspiration
I was driving and a large field of planted sunflowers drew my attention. They were very tall and in full bloom.Editing
The only post-processing is some use of sliders in iphotos. I used an in-camera HDR which gave it that intensity. In my camera bag
I carry a shoulder bag with the Sony Nex-6, 17-55mm, 14mm, 50-200mm and fish eye lenses, a few extra batteries and memory cards. I usually have a bean bag in the car also.Feedback
I'm not usually very interest in taking photos of flowers, but the sunflower when in full bloom is quite special, I think. The main thing here that made this possible was that I was willing to suddenly pull off the road, jump out and take the picture!! I was not out shooting that day. I just always carry my camera with me and hope to find something interesting that catches my eye.
