Location
Stokksnes in Iceland - also known as Vestrahorn.Time
During sunrise around 3:30am.Lighting
The light was amazing, but low hanging clouds kept interfering with the beautiful colors in the sky. This picture is a blending of three pictures. One exposure for the foreground, one for the left part of the mountains and one for the right part.Equipment
I used my Sirui travel tripod, Canon 5Dm3, EF 16-35 mm f/4 and a 10-stop ND filter.Inspiration
Alot of pictures has been taken from this location - I'm just adding to the poll ;)Editing
Yes alot! As said it's a blend of three different shots. The main parts of the post processing was to lower the white balance to make sure the bright reds didn't get oversaturated/overexposured and blending the exposures. Then ofcause I fixed brightnes, contrast, saturation and noise reduction. In my camera bag
Sirui travel tripod, Canon 5Dm3, EF 16-35 mm f/4, Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 and EF 70-200mm f/2.8 and a 3, 6 and 10-stop ND filter.Feedback
Have patience - the clouds and light might not work out in the beginning, but keep waiting and keep shooting. And be here during summer, where the sun sets and rises behind the mountains.
