Years ago, when the photo was taken, my love for the mountains led me to the Italian Dolomites. Just below the foot of the mountain Civetta lies a small lake.Time
My husband and I walked the mountain trails for several hours. In the month of August, I don’t remember the exact time anymore, but I still know it was late afternoon. We returned to the valley when dusk fell.Lighting
The atmosphere of the photo speaks for itself. Hard to describe, it was special, cloudy weather, light resembling an aura around the sun showing through the clouds. Of course I was thrilled. In the mountains, the weather creates the conditions and I was lucky that day. The dramatic light offered me a beautiful view towards the top of the mighty mountain.Equipment
In 2015, I used a Nikon D 300S camera, a wide-angle Sigma 10-20 lens, if I wanted to capture a mountain. And of course a tripod, as the photo was created by combining three shots (HDR) technique.Inspiration
The trip to the Dolomites was intended to enjoy nature and create photographs. I haven't been going anywhere for years without a camera. It is photography that is to blame for all my travel exploits. The view of Mount Civette just in front of me took me by surprise. Without the photos that day, I wouldn’t want to go back to the valley. The effort was rewarded with a beautiful view and photos.Editing
I did all the basics, cutouts, contrast and color corrections in Photoshop. The three photos are combined in the Photo Merge program. In my camera bag
Currently, my old Nikon D610 is still in my backpack, and 4 lenses; Nikon 16-35 mm f4, Nikon 24-70 mm f 2/8, Nikon macro 105 mm f 2/8 and Nikon 70-200 mm f 2/8. I really need a new camera, it has a lot of shots.Feedback
I always recommend visiting the Dolomites to all nature lovers. Lots of mountain peaks, each one is something special. It is a pleasure to create in such beautiful nature. It is really beautiful in the mountain autumn, I also want to go back there among the mountain peaks. Fresh air, peace and quiet of nature and beautiful panoramas are what attract many visitors, travelers and photographers. You just have to want to experience it.
