Location
Two locations. The beach was taken at Sandy Hook New Jersey. The Ship in bottle was taken in my back-yard, Parlin, New jersey.Time
The beach was taken around noon, late May. The Ship in bottle was taken around 3:00 pm mid August I believe.Lighting
Both images were taken with natural daylight on a summers day.Equipment
My Nikon D7100, and 18-140mm lens, hand held.Inspiration
It was just an Idea that I thought would be cool. Sometimes you see ships on the horizon when at the beach, and hear of finding a message in a bottle. I like classic rock music and The Doors being one of the many groups I like. They do a song called "The Crystal Ship".Editing
Yes, being two images actually. I had to cut out the ship in the bottle photo using Microsoft Photo Premium 10 to put it in the beach image. I also had to warm the sky in the beach image to come close to matching the sky color of the ship in the bottle image. In my camera bag
My Nikon D7100 camera, my 18-140mm lens and my 55-300mm lens. Two batteries, the charger and a/c cord, and the usb cable for computer hook-up.Feedback
Well being a created image of two images you need patience and trial and error to complete the task.
