Behind The Lens

Location

Staten Island Zoo, Staten Island, New York.

Time

Between 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm.

Lighting

It was indoors, in a glass enclosure. I used the built in flash on the camera.

Equipment

My Nikon D7100 camera, 18-140mm lens, and the flash which came equipped on the camera.

Inspiration

I saw this tiny tree frog on the tree limb in the glass enclosure and took the shot.

Editing

Just cropped a bit and warmed the color slightly.

In my camera bag

My Nikon D7100 camera, my 18-140mm lens and my 55-300mm lens. Two batteries, the charger and a/c cord, and the usb cable for computer hook-up.

Feedback

When taking a capture which is behind glass, and you need to use a flash, put the lens up against the glass or as close as possible to reduce or eliminate flash reflection.
