I found this guy in the shower on my fiance's parents' farm. I took him outside and placed him on an old fence post so I could take some good photos of him. He stayed there for ages and not moving at all.Time
It would have about lunch time after just coming back from the beach and wanting a quick cold shower to wash the salt off me.Lighting
He was placed in part shade so there wasn't too much light directly on him which I think worked out really well.Equipment
I used my Canon EOS 600D with a couple small extension tubes to really zoom in on this guys eye.Inspiration
I love nature and wildlife so finding a Green Tree frog and being able to get him on camera was an awesome experience. He was a great subject to work with as he didn't move at all :)Editing
I wanted to enhance the colours of the image and make the reflection in the eyes pop some more. I enhanced the clarity and colour saturation and it made the clouds visible in his eyesIn my camera bag
I use a Lowepro Photo Sport 200 AW Backpack which has great storage for my Canon EOS 600D, extension tubes, sigma 10-20mm lense, and the 2 stock lenses it came with. It has a great pocket to store my tripod and other compartments and pockets to store spare batteries, flashes, delay timer etc. It also has room for a 2L camel back which is great when going on long bush walks!Feedback
Go out there and just walk around and be inspired by what you see. I'm not really one for planning photos and just see what happens.
