Behind The Lens

Location

My wife and I will often spend time in Leadville, Colorado. While there we will explore roads that are seldom travelled. While doing so we came across a beautiful field of wildflowers. Tina could not help but sit down in the middle of them to enjoy the beauty. I couldn't help but grab the camera, noticing the similarity to Andrew Wyeth's Christina's World.

Time

This was mid-morning in August.

Lighting

Just a nice, bright, high altitude sunny day.

Equipment

Canon Powershot SX710HS, I loved this compact camera but unfortunately lost it in a wild river in the Missouri Ozarks, and it is no longer made.

Inspiration

This so reminded me of the Andrew Wyeth painting that I couldn't not help but capture the image.

Editing

I don't remember that I did anything but slightly crop the image.

In my camera bag

I wish I still had this camera, but I replaced it with a Canon SX540HS. I also carry a Nikon Coolpix P1000.
