We shot this late as night as the band is on their own version of jetlagLighting
The brief I was given by the band was to have very gradual lighting key light was a 185cm para with soft boxes to either side to make sure all subjects on the shot had similar lightEquipment
I shot this on my hasselblad with an HC 50-110mm. I was shooting teathered to have instant feedback on the shotInspiration

I softened the skin texture to give a more classic sacred art feel to the imageIn my camera bag
in the Studio I shoot with my hasselblad. On the go I have now replaced my whole bag of camera gear with a Huawei P20 pro.Feedback
50% prep work 50% improv we spent a month working on this shot before hitting the studio wardrobe, props, makeup backdrop post production tests. Working with the band during the shoot was key too. really understanding the mood they wanted to create. Being humble and taking their wishes into account while keeping my fingerprint on the image is a delicate balance and it takes practice. Step away from behind the camera.
