I got to tour this plane when it visited Brackett Field in LaVerne CA. My father-in-law was the ball turret gunner on a B-24 during WWII.

We have a wreck of a B 24 at Moonlight Creek in the Northern Territory (Aust) where one got lost in 1942, the sole survivor was found a long long time later having walked hundreds of miles..good reading ...
