Location
This was taken at the SEMA show in LAS VEGAS in NOVEMBER 2013. A manufacturer of air brushing equipment brought the artist in from NEW YORK CIITY and the model was a local VEGAS model.Time
The show opened at 0900 and the artist began at 1300, I took the photo at 1430.Lighting
The lites were the standard 'exhibition hall' type of lighting, I did not use any fill flash.Equipment
My camera was a NIKON D5100 with a TAMRON 16-300mm lens and the photo was taken handheld. Lens was at 30mm; ISO was 1250; f-stop was 4.8 and shutter speed was 1/30th.Inspiration
I was taken by the artist's work all freehand. I do not have any artistic ability so have always been inthralled by artists that can 'see' designs on a canvas and apply them.Editing
No post processing was used, at the time I did not have any software that was capable of post processing. In my camera bag
My equipment has changed since this was taken. After a number of various NIKON D series of cameras, I have changed to CANON MIRRORLESS RP. I carry the canon 24-240mm lens and a SIGMA 50-500mm lens.Feedback
When in a large building like this, I tend to set the camera on automatic and let the camera due the lions share of the work: the lighting is such that you can adjust this and that all day and still not get the quality of photo that the camera ( modern digital) can get faster and with less headaches.
