Beautiful "57 Chevy"!! Great job photoing this Beauty! I Love these cars but then I was born in 1957 too! lol I have always wanted a 57 Chevy but will probably never have one but Guess I can Dream! Love the color of this one too! :-)

Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at the Tatum Ranch Golf Club charity car show. Tatum Ranch is in north Phoenix and comprises the golf club and private residences.

Time

I arrived about 9AM to catch the best sunlight.

Lighting

Early morning sunlight.

Equipment

Nikon D5100 camera with Nikon 18-70 lens set at 30mm; used ISO 400 at F11 at 1/500 sec.

Inspiration

A great 1957 Chevrolet with a fantastic candy apple red paint. A special combination for those of us that were around in that time frame.

Editing

In my camera bag

NOW, Nikon D7100 with a Tamron 16-300mm lens. I shoot mostly cars and airplanes, both static and moving and this camera lens combination allows me to carry one system to handle all of my requirements.

Feedback

Move around the subject to look for the best lighting possible. Sometimes at car shows this is very hard to do because of people attending and this is the main reason why I wanted a wide angle lens (the 16mm portion).
