What ever you do; watch where you look when you go outside! You talk about tight quarters! I love this shot. Well done.

Congratulations, Eelco on being the Winner in my "An Unusual view of your capital city" Photo Challenge. The composition and color convey a wonderful energizing sense of the urban fabric in this part of the city, with the narrow passageway for the trolley, the muted colored walls with their verticals and the movement forward of the trolley, made stronger by the contrasting bright, strong red of the trolley car, enhancing its volume as it dominates the passageway. I also love the flowerpot above left with the pink blossoms representing the resident's efforts to personalize the space. Well done!

As picturesque as it is, I certainly don't want to live in that road, iffffffff, I have a choice! 😁

Location
I took this photo in Lisbon (Portugal) on top of one of the seven hills on wich this great city is build.Time
It was about three pm on a cloudy summers day.Lighting
Because it was a sunny day, the narrow street had a nice contrast to photograph. I didn't have time to choose a light setting because the tram was coming straight at me and I was standing in the middle of the street... so I took a quick shot in the automatic mode.Equipment
I was walking in this narrow and quite busy street when the tram came around the corner, people had to hide as close to the houses as they could. I quickly took a position in the middle of the street to take a picture and I didn't have time to use any extra equipment at all, I just took the shot and went back to the pavement as fast as I could!Inspiration
Lisbon is an old city build on seven hills. The infrastructure is very complicated with ancient, small streets curving up and down the hills. There is a lot of traffic in this hectic city and I wanted to take a photo of this typical tram, coming around the corner with the traffic jam behind her, from between the rails in the middle of the street. The people at the right side of the street completed the strange situation of this tram coming through a far too small street!Editing
I edited this photo a bit in Lightroom and tuned some details and light intensities. In my camera bag
I don't have any equipment in my bag (yet) I am a beginning photographer and I am learning to use a camera, to look for the good light, composition and point of view. One day when I know how to use and set the camera well enough, I will start to think about a bag filled with technical things instead of the need to understand how it works first...Feedback
To capture an image like this is all about being aware of your surrounding, just look around you and be bewondered about the beautiful lively world we are living in, see the possibilities for a nice capture behind every corner. When I walk through a city or anywhere else, I allways look around me very carefully to see the details of wich the world around me is build up. I try to look through a pinhole, without forgetting the whole picture. If you look at a subject to photograph, you have to try to realise what you want to achieve, Try to find the good light, the right point of view and the best composition... In this case I heard the tram coming around the corner, blocking all other traffic. I chose a nice place in the middle of the street and took some photos from different hights while the tram came towards me. As the tram was approaching, the driver slowed down a bit to allow me to shoot my photos! We had a laugh, he waved at me and I was happy! Once you get home and open your laptop, the magic of today's world begins... I allways crop it later into the size and composition I like best. Crop the photo in different ways, so you can choose the best one the next day when you can have a fresh look at them!
