The way you capture these random and unsuspected moments is unique, to say the least, Eelco. The rule of thirds is applied to a tee, while the juxtaposition of modern and old leaves the viewer with much to imagine and reflect upon. Great photo, well done!

Great shot - a shot with vision perhaps? Wins my Juxtapositional challenge. Several things make it stand out for me - the 'story' (rays from the eyes); the diagonals and triangles; the contest of the rectangles; the contrast of old and new; the man mimicking the sign.

The sunlight was strong and great for this occasion! The sun stood high in the sky and casted strong vertical shadows, the reason I was so happy with this photo.Equipment
I didn't use any equipment other then my wonderful little Lumix DMC-TZ100.Inspiration
I was photographing this building with its closed windows as this young man came walking through my photo. I saw this great opportunity to try to match the young man with the shadow casted by the signpost. I waited for a second and clicked three times... The second click made the image I hoped for! The shadow of the signpost came right from his eyes as he was looking at his phone without seeing anything, this feeling is reflected by the blinded windows, a great combinalion.Editing
I did a little post-processing in Lightroom, only to enhance some details but the photo is allmost as it originally was when I took it.In my camera bag
I don't have any equipment in my bag (yet) I am a beginning photographer and I am learning to use a camera, to look for the good light, composition and point of view. One day when I know how to use and set the camera well enough, I will start to think about a bag filled with technical things instead of the need to understand...Feedback
The first and best advice I can give anybody is to be patient and wait until that one moment you are looking for comes around... But before you can sit and wait to take the photo, you have to have an idea what you want to achieve and where. Look when the light will be good and from what position you want to take your photo. The right time of day and the right weather are important as well. In this case I had an idea about my subject (the wall with the blinded windows and the sign) when a young man came by and gave me the possibility to change my mind in a second and make him the subject! Luck and coincidence are two of our best friends...I allways shoot a wider area to be able to crop the photo later into a nice composition. I like to edit and crop in different ways, so I can choose the best one the next day, when I can have a fresh look at them.
