I visited the International Crane Foundation in Wisconsin this week. There was a pair of Whooping Cranes in a beautiful natural setting with a pond. The female initially was on the ground on a nest. The Foundation works to increase the Whooping Crane population in the United States. The bird is very endangered but the numbers are slowly increasing. It was exciting to experience seeing these birds.
