Excellence capture, glad you lived to share the image. I guess it's all about using the right TELEPHOTO lens.

Nothing in particular. It was indoor zoo lighting.Equipment
My Nikon D7100 camera. My 18-300mm Nikon lens. It was hand-held. I upped the IS0 to compensate for the indoor lighting. No flash was allowed in the building.Inspiration
Crocodiles are fascinating. The good thing is that they stay in one spot for long times.Editing
I adjusted the white balance, and sharpened it. I added clarity. I cropped until I was happy with the result. I had never cropped this close on a crocodile before and I found it to be amazing. In my camera bag
My Nikon camera, Nikon lenses including a 12-24mm, an 18-300mm, a 70-200mm, an 80-400mm, a 50mm and a fisheye lens, extra cards and battery.Feedback
Try different things. Think out of the box. The crocodile picture seemed boring until I did the close crop.
