This photo was taken the day before this female Ruby-throated Hummingbird left my backyard to migrate south. I laughed when I saw her do this because it looked like she was waving good-bye. The male hummingbird who had all of the flowers in my yard to himself since he chased away every other hummingbird had already left to migrate. A couple of females then spent a couple of weeks in my yard.
