We actually had warmer weather here in Illinois this week. I was out in my backyard with my camera and tripod hoping to shoot woodpeckers. It was around 50 degrees and cloudy. Thunderstorms were approaching. This woodpecker landed on this branch way up in a tree. I managed to get this shot before the rain and wind and thunder started. This is the best time of year to capture woodpeckers before the trees have leaves.
