Location
This picture was taken in the town of Blanc Sablon in Quebec Canada. This coastal town boarders the Gulf of Saint Lawrence and the straight of Belle Isle on the Atlantic Ocean.Time
This picture was taken around 4pm in the afternoon.Lighting
It was an overcast day and the lighting was soft.Equipment
I used a Canon 6D and a EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM lens. I hand held the camera for the picture.Inspiration
I just love this town for pictures, amazing shore and rock formations. This building very interesting and is situated close to the shore. As soon as i saw it i took a few test shots and then composed this shot and took it. The whiteness of the winter and the contrast of the boat and the building is what inspired me to take the picture.Editing
I use Lightroom and Adobe CC for post processing. Only minor processing done such as clarity and contrast. In my camera bag
I am a Canon user and in my camera bag i carry a variety of Canon L lenses both prime and zoom. I always take along my Lee filters and a sturdy Manfrotto tripod. When i am doing landscape i carry my 5DSR and either the 6D or my 5D MK IIIFeedback
When you find an area that begs to be photographed make several trips there and during different weather conditions. I have learned the hard way as well to travel light. Don't weight yourself down. I also like to take just one lens at times and use it lots so i really get to know what it can do.
