I would have to agree, it makes or breaks a shot from being average to outstanding.

Behind The Lens

Location

this photo was taken in Parma, near the famous Parma Cathedral

Time

It was just before nightfall, in the so-called blue hour

Lighting

The Light is only natural light, the only thing to point out was the presence of beautiful clouds in the sky

Equipment

This photo was taken simply with the camera and lens, I didn't have the tripod with me.

Inspiration

I love this corner of Parma and the shooting points from below, close to the ground that give an unusual point of view to usual subjects

Editing

I always do some post-production with photoshop to make the images a little crisper since shooting in raw the images are always a bit flat. Therefore I improve the colors, the contrast, sometimes I add a little vignetting to give an imperceptible "tunnel effect" to my images

In my camera bag

when I go out with no particular ideas I only have the car with a lens usually a wide angle. When I go out to photograph something special instead I have tripods, fixed lenses, zooms, it depends on the subject. I never have equipment with me that allows me to cover all types of photography, I usually have a precise plan of what I want to photograph and I gear up accordingly.

Feedback

Don't be fooled by places you know well, just change your point of view and everything changes.
