I love this landscape! The stormy clouds in the background combined with the ancient-looking shore provides an excellent insight to this place. Great work!

Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in Sardinia, in the little beach called "cala moresca" in the little town of Arbatax.

Time

was the sunset was blowing strong the wind and a storm was coming, it is in these extreme moments that nature offers its best shows

Lighting

All natural light, but beautiful

Equipment

For this photo I used a nikon d7100, a tripod, a wide-angle lens and an ND1000 filter to increase exposure time

Inspiration

These solitary beaches in Sardinia when the weather turns ugly are simply sublime, impossible not to feel inspired by this show

Editing

I always do a little post production in this type of photo to enhance contrast and color, in particular I improved the tonal contrast and applied a digital sloping filter to lighten the foreground, then I enhanced the lights and shadows.

In my camera bag

For this type of photo, all you need is a digital camera, a wide-angle lens, a tripod and a good ND filter.

Feedback

To take similar pictures, don't be scared when the weather turns bad, it is in these moments when you would like to stay at home that nature offers its best shows!
