This shot was taken in a coastal town called Swanage in Dorset, EnglandTime
I was doing some work in the area & had arrived early so that I could have a wander around. I took this about 10am.Lighting
I was a crisp, sunny morning with a bit of fair weather cloud as you can tell by the shadow of the bench.Equipment
I used a Panasonic bridge camera for this shot. It's a Lumix DMC-FZ200.Inspiration
I walked out onto the old Victorian Pier & was inspired by the old benches & lampposts. The symmetry was so good & perfect for this photo.Editing
I added a sepia effect using Photo Shop Elements & gave it an antique effect. The finish I was looking for was 'old postcard'.In my camera bag
I am a very lazy photographer & find that a camera is all I need. I carry my Pansonic everywhere with me although I have now upgraded to a DMC-FZ2000.Feedback
When you have a little spare time just look around you & explore! My appointment was in the town but I took a walk along the pier before making it to my meeting & I'm really glad I did.
