The different stages of the flower on one stalk make it very interesting, aptly named photograph too! But also the natural division of the background textures accentuated by the placement and direction of the stalk is perfect...

Location
I took this photo in Azenhos do Mar, PortugalTime
It was about 2 AMLighting
These little flowers were growing in the shade of a big stone wall creating wonderful soft light.Equipment
I have a Lumix DMC-TZ60, all my photos are taken with this little miracle of a camera...The best thing about this camera is that it has a good Leica lens and it is very easy to carry with you because it practically fits in your back pocket. I didn't use any extra equipment, I took the photo spontaniously free out of hand.Inspiration
I saw this flower in different stages of bloom against a big succulent leaf, which formed a wonderful painterly background. Nothing arranged, just a natural setting. The focus is on the delicate flowers in a simple way.Editing
I did very little post-processing in Lightroom, only to enhance some details but the photo is allmost as it originally was when I took it.In my camera bag
I don't have any equipment in my bag (yet) I am a beginning photographer and I am learning to use a camera, to look for the good light, composition and point of view. One day when I know how to use and set the camera well enough, I will start to think about a bag filled with technical things instead of the need to understand how it works first...Feedback
The only advice I can give you is look around you for all the wonders the world has to offer, enjoy the beauty of the world we live in... For me capturing nice shots is a matter of trying to isolate nice subjects without forgetting the whole picture... The choice of a background is very important to put the subject in a context or to make it stand out better. Take more shots with slightly different settings so you can choose the best one later. Once you open your laptop, the magic of today's world begins... I always crop it later into the size and composition I like best. Crop and edit the photo in different ways, so you can choose the best one the next day when you can have a fresh look at them!
