It was so well painted, it felt like you could walk up the steps & into the building.

The old cafe at Swanage. It's such a great piece of art. Nice shot.

Wonderful display of skill...both in the creation of the mural and also in the skillfully composed image of it! "Trompe l'oeil," or "trick of the eye," right? Beautiful image!

It was extremely well painted, it did feel like you could walk into it. Also the more you look at it the more you see. It's a shame that it will be knocked down when the building it redeveloped.

Location
This was taken in Swanage, Dorset, Engalnd. Two local artists, Antonia Phillips and Nina Camplain, wanted to highlight the deterioration of Swanage's Pier Head. The mural appears to show cracks, crumbling stonework and a large hole in the side of the building. There have been numerous attempts to develop the property over the years but none of the plans have been approved.Time
This was taken about 9.30am. I was in Swanage on business & had taken a short walk along to the pier when I cam across this mural.Lighting
It was a lovely bright morning which picked out the detail on the painting beautifully.Equipment
I'm very lazy when it comes to equipment. I only carry my camera which at the moment is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200. It's very light weight &easy to carry around with me.Inspiration
I just loved the depth of field in this mural. It felt like you could just walk up the steps & into the building. A;so the more you look at it the more you see. Have you spotted the two swallows on the wall in the right hand corner?Editing
No post processing on this one, it didn't need it.In my camera bag
As I said I'm very lazy. I don't carry anything except my camera.Feedback
Keep looking around you, you never know what you might find. I wasn't out to take photo's on this particular day but this caught my eye.
