This was taken on the beach of my home town of Exmouth in Devon, England. Each year we have a small sand sculpture competition for the children on the beach as part of our town festival.Time
This was late in the day, about 4.40pm, as they competitors had to wait for the tide to go out to be able to crate their art work. It was late May so the weather was also good.Lighting
It was a clear sunny day with no wind so perfect for being on a sandy beach.Equipment
This was taken on my old bridge camera, a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50. I've since upgraded to a FZ2000Inspiration
It was such a great idea to have these characters having a picnic on the beach. It was different to the other sculpture being created.Editing
A little cropping & small adjustment to the exposure was all the post-processing needed. In my camera bag
I am such a lazy photographer. As I'm always looking out for the perfect opportunity to take pictures I only ever carry my camera & nothing else. I do have a tripod in my car but it rarely comes out.Feedback
See the fun in a subject! I took photos of lots of sand sculpture that day but this one appealed to my sense of humour. I enjoyed the artist's creation & understood what they were about.
