Their names are Pansy and Poppy and they are Fainting Goats and so newborn, they still had a bit of their umbilical cords attached when I took this photo while at my friend's farm.

Love the sweet innocence. Pansy and Poppy are adorable. Congratulations on your People's Choice Award!

Location
I took this at East West Farms in PA. The owner is rescuing a rare breed of Black (Malabar) Arabian Horses and she also raises fainting goats. I visited in the spring and these little girls were no bigger than an average sized cat.Time

When I take pictures of animals (or children), I try to be as low profile as possible. The goats were just being let out for pasture. I got into position on the ground and just took picture after picture as the animals got used to me and the sound of my camera.Editing

As I said before, when working with animals (or children), I find it is best to work at a distance with a telephoto lens than to try to get in close. And just take tons of shots. Even if it seems like the same shot of the same animal over and over again. When you look at them in post, you will see subtle changes that tell an entire story.
