Love the contrast between the movement of the clouds and the water. So dramatic. Great capture! Congratulations on your award.

Location
A storm was coming up on the Dutch IJsselmeer ( lake )Time
It was about 2 pm.Lighting
The light was awesome... The sun was shining in bewteen two layers of dark clouds, creating wonderful light on the calm sea.Equipment
I took this photo with my little miracle Lumix DMC-TZ-100, an intelligent pocket camera with a nice Leica lens.Inspiration
I was walking along the northern coastline of one of the Dutch Isles called Vlieland when a storm was coming up. The light changed quickly as dark clouds suddenly appeared... The sky was turning angry and wild whereas the sea was still very peaceful; the calm before the storm! I took my camera and waited until the right moment to take a photo. Not long after I took the photo, the storm came upon us and we got very wet, hahaha!Editing
I did a bit of post-processing in Lightroom, I added some contrast, that's all.In my camera bag
I don't have any equipment in my bag (yet) I am a beginning photographer and I am learning to use a camera, to look for the good light, composition and point of view. One day when I know how to use and set the camera well enough, I will start to think about a bag filled with technical things instead of the need to understand photography first...Feedback
To capture an image like this is not very difficult at all, just look around you and be bewondered about the beautiful world we are living in. I try to look through a pinhole, without forgetting the whole picture. If you look at a subject to photograph, you have to try to realise what you want to achieve, Try to find the good light, the right point of view and the best composition... And most of all, take more shots with slightly different settings so you can choose the best one, once you got home and opened your laptop, the magic of today's world begins... I allways crop it later into the size and composition I like best. Crop the photo in different ways, so you can choose the best one the next day when you can have a fresh look at them!
