The church of Saint Hydroc, situated within the grounds of Lanhydrock House, is the parish church for the community of Lanhydrock and is part of the Bodmin Team Ministry, which comprises the churches of St Petroc in Bodmin, St Stephen at Nanstallon, St Meubred at Cardynham and Lanivet.
Its origins go back to the days when the lands at Lanhydrock belonged to Bodmin Priory and the monks came to work the priory lands in what is now the parkland surrounding Lanhydrock House.
