I recently moved back to the coast and I dont know what i was thinking before, I love the ocean and coastline! Still playing around with my new 70-200f4 lens from Sony, very impressed with what it captures and allows for some creative fun. A popular photographic effect of the past few years is this muted matte look, I try not to be on to follow the crowd but I would love to hear your opinion on this?

Behind The Lens

Location
Taken on my local beach on Hayling Island in the South of England, a little known place but is excellent for the seascapes and watersports.
Time
The photo was taken at sunset around 7pm on a crisp autumn day giving a nice long golden hour to play with.
Lighting
This is all natural lighting, no filter effects or abnormal post-processing. The bokeh in the foreground was achieved by placing the camera on the ground and the sand and rocks on the beach reflecting the sunlight to give this rather unique effect. It can be seen on a few other of my photos to good effect.
Equipment
My ageing Sony a6000 and the 70-200 f/4 lens.
Inspiration
I hadbeen experiencing a bit of a an inspirational drought and getting the new lens gave me new toys to experiment with, this photo is the result of one such trial and error on the beach.
Editing
Very little in the way of post-processing, basic noise removal, sharpening, levels and colour correction.
In my camera bag
In my bag: Sony A6000, Samyang 12 f2, Sony 16-70 f/4, Sony 70-200 f/f, travel tripod.
Feedback
To re-create this style open up your lens to the lowest F stop you have, this was taken at f4 but anything below that would also achieve a similar look, then place your camera low to the ground facing into the sun when the sun is low (golden hour) and you should find yourself in a myriad of bokeh balls.
