I was shooting around Newport, RI, one afternoon (a very nautical-oriented city)... And I saw this artist painting a street scene with his own hand in the scene… I asked him if it would be all right if I got a shot of “a painter painting himself painting”…

And, in this version, I added a bit of an impressionistic painting technique via Photoshop.

BTW, the model was Newport artist, Kenneth Blane. He specializes in celebrity portraits, but also does scenics and abstracts. The painting he’s working on in my shot is called Brick Market Newport RI.
