Classic view of Yosemite Valley with Bridalveil Falls in the background, enhanced by the rainbow. If you look closely, there is a double rainbow that started to show, but couldn't fully materialize due to the cloud cover. Taken at the Tunnel View Vista, just outside of the Wawona Tunnel.

Lovely view! with all the rainbows, waterfall, dark clouds, trees, and yes, the mountains ... breathtaking! I can gaze at it all day (in person) :-)

This is by far the most beautiful photo of Yosemite Valley I have seen. I have seen this view in person a number of times, but never like this. The rainbow is a nice touch, but the clouds, bridal veil falls and half dome are spectacular.

That's an awesome view of the valley. One of my favorite places thanks to Ansel Adams.

Wow, not everyone gets to see a view like that. Glad you were there to capture a beautiful moment. Congrats!

Cloudy with afternoon sun over the shoulder. A photographer's dream! I spent close to 1 hour at this very spot waiting for the moment to catch the rainbow.Equipment

The view, the lighting, the clouds, and the rainbow. Serendipity. The perfect conditions to visit the overlook.Editing
I hit this with PS3, adjusting shadows and contrast. Some light D&B, then saturation adjustments to enhance the colors. In my camera bag
I must have taken all of my equipment on this trip to Yosemite. Trust me, I felt every ounce of it during my hike to Nevada Falls. I must of carried close to 30 additional pounds this week! Normally, I carry a lighter load. Canon 5DMKII, Canon 7D and occasionally a Life Pixel modified T1i. Canon 17-40 f/4L or 24-70 f2.8L, 70-200 f/2.8L ISII, Canon 50mm f/1.4 Lee Filter system, Lee GND filters, SinghRay RGND Yongnou wireless triggers Wrigleys Cobalt gum. Sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on what I want to shoot.Feedback
Timing. Timing. Timing. And the right equipment. Some shoulder pads, patience and a big ego doesn't hurt either when you camp out at a major tourist spot such as the Wawona Tunnel overlook. Most of all, timing, as this day and time proved.
