I have a good friend who lived in North East growing up. We used to sail right near there!

Foggy and overcast with a very soft light, however, not conducive for good color due to the time of day.Equipment
Canon 5DMKII, EF 14-40 f/4L @17mm, Manfrotto 190CXPro tripod, Promote shutter release, Lee Big StopperInspiration
I went shooting eagles at Conowingo in the morning and since I was already up in the vicinity, I decided to stop by HdG. A friend of mine, another dawn patroller, shoots up in this area, and her photos are always amazing. I wanted to take in the scenery in person this time. Though the light was not at its best, there were still some good scenery to shoot. This being one of them. I put the Big Stopper on and and set several exposures. This 15 second @ f10 was my favorite.Editing
As the original photo was a tad over exposed, i decided to ramp it up in Lightroom by cranking the contrast and exposure to obscene levels and via layers, brought them back down to earth. Afterwards, I created this B&W in Nik Silver Efex, and once again started sliding the contrast and exposure to create this final image. In my camera bag
Normally the following; Canon 5DMKII, Canon 7D and occasionally a Life Pixel modified T1i. Canon 17-40 f/4L or 24-70 f2.8L, 70-200 f/2.8L ISII, Canon 50mm f/1.4 Lee Filter system, Lee GND filters, SinghRay RGND Yongnou wireless triggers Wrigleys Cobalt gum. Sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on what I want to shoot.Feedback
Experiment. Slide. Create. When the light does not agree with you, don't give up and go home. Find a high contrast subject and take multiple exposures. Look at the scene and decide if mono is the best option. Many times, in conditions like this, think mono.
