Fantastic shot. As a train nut in general and a CTA nut in particular. I can really appreciate the shot. Congratulations

It was taken during the Blue Hour on a summer night in early July. It gives the photo a nice warm glow to contrast the cold color of the "L" cars.Equipment
Camera: Nikon D700 Lens: Nikon 14-28mm f/2.8Inspiration
I was on a photo walk with friends in the Loop and we decided to go into a parking garage to take some photos of the "L". The "L" trains are an iconic image of Chicago and I always wanted to tray and capture them during the Blue Hour. I saw that two trains would be passing so I timed it to capture both with a hint of motion blur.Editing
Just a bit of post processing to make the colors pop.In my camera bag
Nikon Full Frame DSLR, Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8, Nikon 24-70mm f/2,8, Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II, and Nikon 16mm f/2.8 fisheye.Feedback
I didn't have a tripod with, was traveling light this evening. Luckily I was able to hold the camera steady on a ledge of the parking garage. The light is awesome during the Blue Hour and is a perfect time to shoot a motion blur like this. My goal was to leave the shutter open long enough to capture motion, and retain some definition of the "L" cars. My camera settings were: ISO-200, f/2.8, 14mm, 1/6 sec.
