Life is all about the ass! 😁
You're either kicking it,
kissing it,
busting it,
want a piece of it ...

Behind The Lens

Location

At a studio in Chicago, IL.

Time

In the early afternoon.

Lighting

Was practicing Chiaroscuro lighting.

Equipment

Nikon D80 with Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 I had two strip lights that were 6 feet by 2 feet, with grids on them. I also placed an amber gel over the flash in each one to get a nice warm glow.

Inspiration

Wanted to try a fashion shoot and incorporate Chiaroscuro lighting.

Editing

Very little other than bringing up the saturation slightly.

In my camera bag

Nikon full frame DSLR, Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8, Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8, Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8, Nikon 16mm f/2.8 fisheye.

Feedback

Place your lighting one on each side of the model a few feet away, and at about a 45 degree angle. Set the lights at f/5.6 and use a black muslin background to absorb the light.
