This image is so personal for me. I lost my home in 2010 when an F5 tornado hit. I barely got myself and my Autistic son out in time. It was horrific. I loved that place so much and could not find my way past the loss. I decided to create something powerful to give myself strength and remind me that we can get past any obstacle put before us. The dress was designed by Jennifer Chou ( https://www.etsy.com/people/ASAPBay? ) who can create anything you can imagine.Editing
I scoured over the internet for the best stock image of a tornado that had the perfect mood for this image. I decided to go with one of Zastolskiy Victor's images you can find on Shutterstock. I shot the image in open pasture to make it easy to drop the tornado in the sky. I preplanned as much as possible for this image to make certain when I brought everything into Photoshop my perspectives would be correct. In my camera bag
Canon 5D Mark II, EF 24-105L, Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM AutoFocus Telephoto Zoom Lens, two primes, 85mm and 50mm, Canon 580ex II flash, Pocket Wizards and several large reflectors are always in my bag.Feedback
Plan ahead. When you know what you want your final product to be, it makes it much easier. Have several assistants with you to help toss the dress also. This isn't one you can do solo.
