Behind The Lens

Location

This image was taken at the Unity Temple on the Country Club Plaza of Kansas City, MO.

Time

This image was taken early morning, but it was indoors with back light so time of day wasn't a factor.

Lighting

This window is backlit all the time in the sanctuary of this church.

Equipment

Nikon D5100, 18-55mm lens, steady hand, no tripod with me!

Inspiration

The window is beautiful and the sanctuary very peaceful. My wife was attending a meeting in another part of the building and I was wandering around the Country Club Plaza on my first day with this camera, just experimenting and enjoying the gorgeous morning. As I was waiting for her meeting to end, I wandered into the room where this window is located.

Editing

Slight cropping to fit the image into the frame was all the post processing done.

In my camera bag

Nikon D5100, a small assortment of lenses and filters and a Canon SX710 HS compact camera, along with spare SD cards and batteries.

Feedback

Don't hesitate to stick your nose through doors that are closed (not locked). One never knows what will be waiting!
