The photo was taken in our friends' back yard a few years ago. I am self taught, natural light photographer who takes any advantage when being outdoors, to use my skills and practice.Time
This was taken around 3 or so... We had just gotten there for a visit and I absolutely love their garden in their back yard. This flower was a new one to me and of course, I had to capture it.Lighting
Lighting is always a great tool to practice with. The spot I had for this shot, had just the right amount of shading and I really enjoyed how this came about.Equipment
I have my Nikon D90 and the lens I used was my Sigma Macro. No flash and my hands were steady that day.Inspiration
I love flowers. Different versions and colors. They make me smile. When I saw this set of flowers, it just drew me. I absolutely love these!Editing
When I post-process, I use Lightroom and then sometimes, I'll switch over to Photoshop or Gimp for additional work if needed...which isn't often. In my camera bag
My Nikon D90, my Sigma Lens and then another Nikon lens. Another a Nikon D3400 body with 2 more lenses.Feedback
Use a monopod or tripod instead of just your hands. You never know when you'll need them. Lots of patience and timing to get your image just right and don't forget to breath!
