This little walk, caught my eye and so of course, I just had to take a photo. Looks kind of dreamy and if I had the time that day, I'd see where it led. Location up near Grafton, IL along the Mississippi River.

Location
This photo was taken along the Mississippi River, while in a small park near Grafton, Illinois.Time
We were on our way back from a stay at Pere Marquette State Park. I'm thinking it was about 1pm around the time this shot was taken.Lighting
When I saw this path, it was peaceful and kind of majestic. At least that was my plan after editing it. The light was right where I needed it to be.Equipment
I used my Nikon D60 with my Nikon DX Lens AF-Nikkor 18-105mm 1-3.5-5.6G ED. No tripod. No monopod. No flash. Just me and my camera.Inspiration
If it looks like a different place, where I know someone, besides me, would be drawn to it, I'll take the shot. You never know what could come from that shot taken.Editing
I did actually. I use Lightroom and Photoshop. For this shot, I edited in Lightroom using an overlay and tweaking it just right with the lighting and such, til it was just right. In my camera bag
I have my camera, my main Nikon lens, my Sigma Macro lens, charger, batteries, business cards, sd cards, etc.Feedback
That's a great question. Use your imagination. If there's a shot you want to take, but you're not quite sure what it'll lead to in the end, take it anyway. Don't be afraid of what's around you. The possibilities are endless. I was unsure of my surroundings at first, but once I saw that path, it made me feel like I was looking for a pot of gold. That mysterious, wondering-where-the-path-goes kind of feeling. Find your pot of gold!
