The light was coming through two corner windows and my daughter was sitting at her little table and chairs when I took this shot. She is side lit by one window and front lit by another.Equipment

This is actually a composite of two separate photos. I took the photo of my daughter first trying to achieve a nice white background and still have good natural light on her face from the front with a unique composition. I then decided I did not like the composition in that it felt too empty. I had just bought some flowers for my wife so I took one and created the flower exposure in the same lighting environment then composited them together. I then flattened the image and saved it. Then I used the saturation tool in CS5 and used the bottom slider called 'Lightness' and raised it until this overexposed effect. The original was not bad but I definitely like this etherial look much better in this photograph.In my camera bag

Try new things outside the box. You can turn an average photo into something very creative so do not throw away or delete photos that have good qualities. Compositing can salvage many rather dull photos into a work of art.
