Time

Mid afternoon on a sunny day. This sand sculpture exhibit was under a tent.

Lighting

The lighting is natural with a tent overhead and an open doorway allowing light in.

Equipment

Nikon D300 with 80mm f1.8 I believe.

Inspiration

My family decided to take a trip down to the beach to see the sand sculpture contest. I was especially moved by this exhibit because it was a tribute to Robin Williams, who had recently passed.

Editing

Basic sharpening and converted to black and white.

In my camera bag

Nikon D300, D700, Assorted fixed focal length lenses.

Feedback

Just have a camera with you so when you encounter wonderful things you can capture them. Be mindful of lighting and how it flows over the subject. Change your angle of view to see things in a different perspective.
