Middle of the night!Lighting
We did do a bit of light painting which is now illegal but I did like the way it lit up the rocks in this particular shot.Equipment
Nikon D600 with 14-24mm lens with a Gitzo Tripod.Inspiration
I was on a night photography trip with other photographers.Editing
I try to do as little as possible via basic panels in Lightroom. In my camera bag
Until recently, I used Nikon and Sony. I now use Sony Exclusively. I shoot with a Sony a6300 with a 10-18mm wide-angle lens for underwater photography with an Ikelite housing. For everyday photography, I use my Sony Rx10IV and a Sony A7RIII for action and macro.Feedback
You should scout out the area you want to shoot during the day and then check when the Milky Way is set to rise. You can use ap's like SunandMoon, Puniverse or Sun&Moon.
