Behind The Lens

Location

This image was shot on Charles Bridge, Prague, Czech Republic.

Time

I was walking across the bridge at about 2.30pm admiring all the artists & crafts people who were displaying their goods for sale. This gentleman was playing his music on the bridge.

Lighting

This was taken in November but the light was still very good. Not a sunny day but bright enough to produce a decent image without too much editing.

Equipment

This was taken on my old camera a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50, a nice bridge camera to start photography with. I have since upgraded to the FZ2000.

Inspiration

It was just a lovely image. The old musical organ with the gentleman's lovely red waistcoat. He stood out among all the other street artists there.

Editing

A little cropping & slight adjustment to the exposure, other than that I didn't need to do anything else.

In my camera bag

I am a very lazy photographer always on the go so I travel very light. I only ever carry my camera.

Feedback

People can make very interesting subjects when they are going about their everyday activities. Ask if it's ok to photograph them, they are usually very happy for you to do so.
