Interesting shot. If the highlight in front wasn't overlapping the one in back, it would be a great shot.

Location
This photo was taken in the Simpson Desert, Central Queensland, Australia at a place called "Big Red"Time
I captured the moment at Dawn, after being there for almost 2 hours of darkness waiting for natural lightLighting
I waited for the first beams of Iight to make it over the dunesEquipment
My tool was the Nikon D7000 using a Nikkor 50mm 1.8, No flash and resting the camera on my bagInspiration
At this time of the year Big Red is not visited as often due to seasonal weather, lucky for me I got this great shot and shots of a 100 year flooding of the desert dunes, yes water and lake in the dessert. The size of the eroded art is about as big as your hand...Editing
Post processing was just put through Adobe camera raw with minor changes to contrast, saturation and highlightsIn my camera bag
I carry Nikon D800, D7000, D90 and P900 with mostly pro lenses, both Nikkor and SigmaFeedback
For this shot, be there at the right time as a windy or day will erode your scene
