Amazing shot! Wish I can do something like this. I love movement and colours. People also crack sometimes!

Location
In our living rooms coffee table. I covered the furniture and carpet with plastic liners....Time
Late evening ,when the family was not at home.Lighting
I used 2 off camera flashes and a completely darkened room.Equipment
The camera, a Canon 5D Mark II was set on a tripod and I used the remote trigger cable as well as 2 speed lite canon flashes. I used a wine glass turned the other way around to drop the egg on it, a black back ground and around 30 eggs or so.Inspiration
I have seen eggs falling on the floor and wanted to capture the dramatic moment the egg breaks.Editing
In Photoshop CS6 I used the clone and eraser tool to remove the glass stem from the glass to make it look like the egg is cracking up by itself. In my camera bag
I usually carry my zoom ( 24 - 105 mm) , spare batteries, lens cleaner and tissue. The things I bring depends on what I plan to shoot. Over the years, the equipment has added up and it's impossible to carry around everything.Feedback
This project was a rather messy affair, so the first thing you need is an inderstanding wife ! The second is lots of patience because the egg has to hit the stem of the glass right for the perfect splash. That took about 30 eggs !
