Location

I shot this along the Ira Spring Trail close to Mason Lake near Seattle, Washington.

Time

It was a foggy morning on the second day of a 2-day hiking trip to Mason Lake and Mt. Defiance in Washington. I shot this on July 16, 2016 at 7:19am.

Lighting

As always, I love the diffused sunlight coming through the fog.

Equipment

Nikon D5300, 18-55mm lens, no tripod or flash.

Inspiration

I loved the contrast of the bear grass in the foreground with the forest behind...and of course, the foggy conditions.

Editing

Minor processing (color temp, sharpening) in Lightroom.

In my camera bag

Nikon D5300, Nikon D750, Sony NEX, tripod, filters.
