I shot this during my hike to Mason Lake near North Bend, Washington on the Ira Spring Trail.Time
When me and my friends checked the weather forecast we knew this would be a foggy hike, possibly rainy as well. Thankfully it didn't rain but the fog was thick and produced many moody shots like this one. I shot this on the afternoon of July 16, 2016 shortly after we reached Mason Lake.Lighting
The sun filtering through fog and trees always leads to dramatic and moody shooting conditions.Equipment
Nikon D5300, kit lensInspiration
The obvious subject on this hike is Mason Lake which is in the opposite direction of this photo. I took many shots of the lake but I'm glad I turned around to grab this shot of the forest.Editing
